"And Either I'm Nobody or I'm a Nation"

Inspired by Derek Walcott’s, Nobel Literature prize winner, quote: "Either I'm Nobody or I'm a Nation", this is a body of works which reflects on my insular identity, altogether bridging different conversations into a unified visual depiction. The purple Rhino, represent both the male, (often associated with blue) and the female (often associated with pink) forces. The pink and blue mixes to produce the purple. The rhino a powerful animal is, often considered, a maligned and misunderstood animal, but is a docile creature who can definitely affirm its authority when needed. Hence the purple rhino represents the inclusion of marginalized people at large. The dread locked character, always giving its back to the viewer looks together with us at new redefined and all-inclusive world, as he accompanies us with soothing music from classical instruments
